The ILM Practitioners Training Program

The ILM Practitioners Training Program

The Program consists of 3 obligatory parts, that includes Basic Course (4 modules), Movement Teacher Training, Advanced Course and 1 optional part that is an Internship year. Completing all obligatory parts of this training process enables you to receive a permanent ILM Practitioner Diploma and allows you to be part of the ILM Members Club – ILM Circle of Practitioners.

  1. Basic course– this is the main part of the training, where students learn the basic 4 modules of treatment in the method and become certified practitioners and may offer treatments in the method.

Duration – In the case of international training, we teach each module in a 10-day intensive, twice a year, over a time frame of about 1,5 years. All in all, 4 intensives of 10 days each.

  1. Movement teacher training – this part is a 10-day intensive which focuses on the movement class material and teaching methods. Students receive a certificate as ILM movement teachers, and may teach classes to the open public.

Duration- 10 days all in all.

  1. Advanced course – required for receiving a final certificate, students of this course learn in depth and receive unique materials, such as – secondary modules, energetic work, working with musicians, the therapeutic dialogue, further explorations into the basic modules, and more.

Duration – 3 intensives of one week each, over the time of one year.

  1. A NON-obligatory year of internship and professional trainings – this year is designed to support and enhance already active ILM practitioners, or those who wish to continue training with us. Practitioners may choose whether to take it or not.

During this year practitioners meet 4 times in big groups, together with a team of teachers and assistants, for two main objectives:

  • To follow personal study cases of each practitioner, and work through those cases as away to learn more practical approaches and solutions.
  • To practice together with colleagues, exchange, study extra materials and bring questions, needs, wishes etc., while surrounded by a professional team. Students here receive a personal guide that will be their “big brother/sister”, and accompany them through their first year as a practitioner, with availability to any needs that may come

We recommend this year mainly for those already invested in ILM, but all graduates are welcome.

*Those who wish to progress with ILM towards working as guides or assistants in futuretraining, are required to go through the internship with us.

Important notes

  1. The Basic year and Movement course are required to be taken in a sequence, one following the other. The Advanced course can be taken within 2 years from graduation of the Basic course. Meaning- students may choose to not take the Advanced course immediately after Basic.
  1. Learning Basic and Movement courses entitles you to a temporary certificate, valid for 2 years, until the completion of the Advanced course.
  1. Those who do not wish to become ILM practitioners, and take the course for self-development or recreation purposes only, may choose to not take any other part after the Basic course. In case they want to be certified in the future, they have to complete the other two parts.
